I recently was in the market for a new mattress because well, mine was disgusting! Between a sweaty husband, sticky kid, dirty dog, and furry cats my mattress had lived through a lot of spills, messes, and “accidents.” I think every known bodily fluid from both humans and animals had at one point been on my mattress! Eeewwwwww! Needless to say, it was time to replace it! I’ve always wanted one of those fancy memory foam mattresses but also didn’t want to spend a million dollars on it. I did some research on memory foam mattresses (and mattress protectors!) and wanted to share what I found to be the best, cost-effective mattress and mattress protector on the market.

I found most reviews online to be super positive, so I decided to try it out for myself. I tend to sleep on my stomach hugging a body pillow and this mattress was recommended as a good mattress for stomach sleepers to provide back support. After the first night on my new mattress, I am a true believer now! The GhostBed mattress is amazing and I woke up feeling rested and more refreshed than I ever have before. It doesn’t absorb your body heat, so you stay nice and cool all night. No more one leg in the covers and one leg outside the covers (you know you do it too!)!. You can sleep comfortably in any position all night long because the mattress provides soft support.
Now that I am in love with my mattress, I had to make sure I also protected it from all the messes of my daily life! From spills to throw up, I knew I needed a mattress protector. Now, GhostBed offers bundle deals on their mattresses, sheets, pillows, and adjustable baes but they do not include the mattress protector. I did end up getting the GhostBed Bundle and opted into also getting their mattress protector. It’s $99 but the reviews were pretty amazing. Plus, it also came with free shipping which is a must for me when online shopping. I HATE having to pay an additional shipping fee!
Other mattress protectors that I’ve purchased from Amazon have fallen apart after the 3rd or 4th wash. I’ve struggled to find a mattress protector that is comfortable, waterproof (more like pee and throw-up proof), and comes with a substantial warranty. The GhostBed Mattress Cover Protector came with a 10-year warranty, so I thought it was a pretty good value if I could exchange it for a new one if it did tear or fall apart before 10 years. I love the GhostGrip (elastic band) which makes it so easy to cover the mattress (and it doesn’t shift)! It pairs great with any GhostBed mattresses listed above (although it will work with yours just fine)!
